Guillaume Chaineau assists public (State, public institutions, major seaports, local authorities) and private (developers and promoters) project owners in regulatory urban planning, in setting up and managing development operations (joint development zone (ZAC- Zone d’aménagement concerté), housing estates, land divisions) and in expropriation and pre-emption.
Guillaume Chaineau offers practical, cross-disciplinary support, from developing of the urban planning rules required to carry out the project to auditing of applications for authorisations and searching for the optimal operational set-up.
Also involved in litigation and negotiations, the strategic approach to each case is central to his practice.
Recent legislative changes and the development of his clients’ needs in this area have led him to develop recognised expertise in environmental assessment and public participation procedures (public debate, consultation, public enquiry, online participation).
Guillaume Chaineau regularly leads seminars and training courses on urban planning, development and the environment, notably for the EFE, Le Moniteur or the Federation of Local Public Companies.
